Something I have learned quickly is that I need a replacement activity for online shopping. When you are sitting at a computer all day for work, everyone takes a few mental breaks to browse the web for news, social media, or in my case ONLINE SHOPPING. My demon. The danger zone.
Pro tip (ha ha I am not a pro I have $43,000 in debt): Remove ALL credit cards you have linked to online shopping account. It is not helpful to know that your amex is tied to your paypal account so you literally have to make 0 effort to purchase that top on (final) sale on J.crew.
So I started googling. Things like 'best blogs for debt', 'best blogs for millenial financial advice', 'best inspirational blogs for getting out of debt', 'best realistic financial blogs.' I don't need someone telling me to invest in bitcoin, I need someone who has walked/is walking my debt walk and can give me a daily boost that I WILL SEE THE OTHER SIDE. It will take 1.5 years, but I can do it. It has been done before!
Here are the ones that I personally like. You may not like them (but again I don't care if you hate my blog so I really don't care if you hate my blog suggestions) but you may find them super helpful!

- Debt Free in Sunny CA (website: https://debtfreeinsunnyca.com/blog/). Definitely check out her video on making a zero based budget: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRJ9kWc97fA&t=9s
- Trees Full of Money (website: http://www.treesfullofmoney.com/). Make sure to read their personal story of paying over $90,000 debt in under 2 years (AMAZING!). They also have a debt snowball calculator which I like.
- Debt Free Forties (website:https://debtfreeforties.com/about/). She has a great selection of 'Freebies' for budgeting etc. that are 0 cost. Super helpful!
